About Andrew

I am a successful business professional with 25+ years’ experience and a history of high performance across various functional areas with very strong leadership skills. I have a deep passion to improve customer experience and drive revenue growth in businesses, mainly through improved market development, sales, people and business performance.

As the founder and MD of Growth Business Consultants, I specialise in growing companies using practical implementable solutions. My focus areas are: strategy, people, process and technology.

I have 10 years’ account and sales management experience: R600m, 650 customers, grew at 20% year on year; achieving and exceeding target. Further 14 years’ business development and management consulting experience, which includes: strategy development, deal structuring, business case development, raising capital, project, program and portfolio management, training, financial modelling, business turnarounds, growth projects, operational improvements, business re-engineering, change management and Customer Experience Management (CXM). 

Completed successful business turnarounds and being SME in growing companies, especially in finding white space and driving influence maps. As program and change manager on the Telkom property consolidation project for EOH, responsible for a successful 6000 people move.  I worked with the executive leadership at Telkom; program and project teams (included QS, Building Contractors, Facilities Management, IT project team and all other service providers). At MultiChoice Africa was driving CX service design for the African businesses.

In summary, I have a passion for growing businesses which includes implementing strategic growth projects. Having strong leadership skills, the ability to think strategically and can drive practical positive outcomes. My experience, skills, people skills and thinking patterns makes me an asset in growing revenue at companies.
MY PASSIONS

I am passionate about assisting people and business be successful through using the technical, business and human skills I have developed over the last 25 years; should this be as a consultant, functional manager or executive. 

I have a passion for driving positive customer experiences which result in increased revenue. I do this through reduced effort score via process design and having more engaged employees resulting in passionate engagements. I enjoy creating ideas for continuous improvement and implementing them, this includes growing companies.

Personally, I enjoy playing and watching sport; being involved in outdoor activities like mountain biking, golf and cricket.  Cape Town is my favourite destination.

I am married and have a six year old son. While I am a South African citizen, both my wife and son hold EU passports. I am exploring employment opportunities in South Africa and the European Union.
